'He Has the Team': Stephen Jones Backs Schottenheimer at 2-4. Now Fix the Offense.

Cowboys Nation, two ugly prime-time losses in a row and the front office isn't blinking.

COO Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Monday that he "absolutely" supports Brian Schottenheimer. "He has the team," Jones said, per Yahoo Sports. He also called the offense's slide "surprising" and said the running game "just hasn't come together."

The frustration is earned. Yahoo notes Dallas is 2-4, the run game ranks 31st at 76 yards per game, and Dak Prescott has two touchdowns and four interceptions over the last two games. Blogging The Boys gave Schottenheimer an F for the 23-13 loss at Green Bay, citing taking the ball first after winning the toss, a punt on 4th-and-4 from the Packers' 47 and his first-half timeouts.

Our Take: Backing your coach is fine. But Schottenheimer calls the plays, so this one is on him to fix, starting with answers against the blitz.

What to watch: Monday night at the 2-4 Eagles, the Cowboys' third straight prime-time game.
