George Pickens, Quinnen Williams and Caleb Downs Limited as the Cowboys Nurse Bumps and Bruises

By , Cowboys of Dallas ·

Cowboys Nation, the Monday night high in Philly was real. Now comes the bill. Dallas came out of that 38-21 win over the Eagles mostly intact, but George Pickens, Quinnen Williams and Caleb Downs were all limited at Wednesday's practice.

Our Take: Nothing here screams panic, but on a short week, the Cowboys need Pickens and Quinnen Williams close to full go. The offense finally found its rhythm Monday, and the defensive front can't afford to lose its anchor right as things are turning.

According to NBC Sports' Charean Williams, Caleb Downs (ankle) and George Pickens (shoulder/hamstring) were limited Wednesday. Pickens played only 41 of 68 offensive snaps Monday night, while Downs was in on 56 of 66 defensive snaps. Quinnen Williams (hamstring) was also limited after playing 38 snaps against the Eagles.

DallasCowboys.com reports head coach Brian Schottenheimer described a few players as "nursing bumps and bruises." Pickens is still working through the shoulder injury and now a hamstring issue on top of it, and Quinnen Williams is dealing with what the team called a minor hamstring issue. KaVontae Turpin (ribs) and Dee Winters (calf) did not practice.

There's good news too. Per NBC Sports, Marist Liufau and P.J. Locke both appear ready to return from their 21-day practice windows.

What to watch: Thursday and Friday practice reports. If Pickens and Quinnen Williams move to full participation, the Cowboys are in good shape for Sunday. If either stays limited into Friday, keep an eye on the game designations.
