Cowboys vs. Cardinals Preview: Dallas Hosts Arizona at AT&T Stadium (Noon CT, FOX)
The Dallas Cowboys (3-4) host the Arizona Cardinals (2-5) today at AT&T Stadium. Kickoff is 12:00 PM CT on FOX. ESPN's line has Dallas favored by 7, with a total of 54.5.
Our Take: This is a game Dallas has to win, and the numbers say it should. Dak Prescott has 1,851 yards, 13 touchdowns and just 5 picks, and Javonte Williams has turned into a red-zone hammer with 8 rushing scores. A 54.5 total says Vegas expects points, so the defense has to get Jacoby Brissett off the field on third down. Cowboys get back to .500 today.
WHO'S OUT: Dallas: KaVontae Turpin (ribs) and Dee Winters (calf) are out. George Pickens (shoulder/hamstring), Locke (foot), Kenny Clark (back), Bullard, Liufau and Schoonmaker are questionable. Arizona: Gaines II (ankle) and Walter Nolen (ankle) are out; Melton, Wingard and Froholdt are questionable.
KEYS TO THE GAME:
- Feed CeeDee. Lamb has 53 catches for 651 yards and 6 scores. If Pickens is limited, Lamb and the run game carry it.
- Find Trey McBride. Arizona's tight end has 59 catches. Caleb Downs (48 tackles) and the linebackers have to bracket him.
- Pressure Brissett. Quinnen Williams has 3 sacks; Brissett has thrown 6 picks. Make him hurry.
- Watch Budda Baker. He has 3.5 sacks off blitzes, so Dallas must account for him on every pass.
